Small Apartment - Syntagma
Small Scale, Maximum Potential

Client: Private
Location: Syntagma, Greece
Year: 2023
Project Type: Small Apartment
Role: Architectural Planning & Interior Visualization
This academic project explores the design of compact residential units organized around a central circulation core. The plan is based on repetition, a series of small apartments sharing the same structural logic and spatial layout.

The challenge was to maintain a sense of individuality within limited square meters. Rather than altering the architectural framework, character was introduced through interior decisions. The interior used as an example uses color as a primary tool. The choices made create atmosphere without overwhelming the compact scale.

Pastel mint cabinetry and clean, handle-less surfaces create visual continuity and a sense of lightness. The white counter and minimal upper storage prevent the space from feeling compressed. Sculptural pink stools introduce a subtle playfulness, reinforcing the idea that compact living does not require visual austerity.
The glass buffet shifts storage into display. Transparency allows everyday objects to remain visible rather than concealed, becoming part of the interior composition.
A deep blue wardrobe wall introduces depth and focus. Warm wood tones and restrained furnishings soften the composition, creating a calm atmosphere suited to rest and introspection.
